Rule 7
Investment and use of funds
For the purpose of clause (c) of sub-section (2) of section 29 of the Act, the welfare works that can be invested for the benefit of active and ex-servicemen and their families shall be as follows and the funds shall be used for the following purposes:-< br> (a) Activities and areas in which investment can be made:-
(1) Providing medical health services,
(2) Providing accommodation,
(3) To operate the canteen (4) To establish and operate schools and colleges (5) To conduct income-generating activities by involving current and former persons,
(6) Other actions recommended by the committee and approved by the Ministry of Defense.
(b) Activities and areas where funds can be used:-
(1) To carry out welfare work for the welfare of Nepali Army serving and former personnel and their families,
(2) To conduct welfare schemes and income-generating activities,
(3) To continue the already ongoing welfare work,
(4) When the Nepali Army joins the peacekeeping force at the invitation of the United Nations, to provide the necessary funds and equipment for the work related to it,
(5) To carry out social welfare activities such as ceremonies, festivals, worship, celebrations, festivals, hospitality, gifts, etc., which have been traditionally conducted by the Nepali Army,
(6) To give grants to military organizations or organizations established in accordance with law to do work related to welfare work. But such grant shall not exceed five lakh rupees in one financial year and such amount shall be included in the annual program of the committee approved by the committee.
